Been a while

I love you both so much. You make me smile and grit my teeth all at the same time. You like tv and like to watch veggie tales much to my dismay.

Austin. You are becoming more independent everyday. You just started calling me mom. You still love books. In the car you like to wear your sunglasses and always want to know where the sun is. You think I am pretty and you like to tell me all the time. It makes up for most of the stress you cause. :-). I can't wait for you to get started in sports. You like to hold my hand in the car.

Megan. You love to sing. All I wanna do and hillbilly bone are my favorite for you to sing. You love shoes and pretty dresses. You always say you are beautiful and its true. You ask for maw maw sometimes when you wake up in the morning. Sometimes you don't want me to hold you just hold my hand. You are doing good with potty training.

It's been a while....

I know I haven’t written in a while, but there has been a lot going on and mommy had been tired.

 

Austin-

You like day care a lot.  You do not want to wake up in the morning but once you get up and get going you are fine.  The first day and week after that were really hard, but now you are used to it and you enjoy playing with your friends.  You take naps and play well with others.  In 2 ½ weeks you have only got in trouble once for being mean to another kid.  You had trouble remembering to use the potty at some point during each day, but you seem to have that under control… at least at day care.  You love to watch Thomas the Train and Big Bird.  You like Nick Jr(Noggin) at Maw Maw’s house.  You love to play outside and run everywhere.  You have so much energy and you get excited about everything.  You are so much fun but to be around, but it is very tiring as well.  You say “How are you doing this morning”  and “I am so excited to see you.  I want to go home with you” 

 

We went to the Lyon’s family farms on Sunday with Titipika, Maw Maw, Dorothy and all the kids.  You loved it so much.  You went down all the slides and did really well not running away.  The first 2 times you got on the cow train you got out of it while it was going.  Mommy rode on it with you then you went on it again by yourself.  You had your half smile that reminds me of Pop so I knew you liked it. You wanted all the small pumpkins and when mommy said she wanted one that wasn’t “flat” you kept saying you found one that wasn’t “fat”

 

You love matchbox cars.  You love your pajamas.  You are mean to your sister but you miss her when she is not there.  She had to stay with Maw Maw when she was sick and you told me in the car “Give me my sister back!!”  You eat better at day care than you do at home.  You are nicer at daycare.  The teachers say they fight over you because you are sweet and helpful.

 

 

Megan-

You act way older than you are.  At day care they say you are 2 going on 20 and everyone is convinced that you were on this earth before… I agree.  When you wake up in the morning you smile and say “I love you mommy”  You even smile if I tickle you to wake you up.  You are so different from you brother and so different from me.  Yester day when I tried to put your shoes on you cried because you could not wear your boots.  I let you wear them today and you kept saying “I’m wearing my boots”  you also bring me your hair stuff so I can fix your hair.  You are  girly girl and I think I am going to need help so I can let you be that way.  I like that you are not a wuss though.  You are not afraid of stuff and you like to get dirty.  I think you are going to be a lot like Amy K… sporty but girly at the same time… I like that!  You still get “sad” at people, but not as much as you used to.  You cry at day care a little, but you are fine as soon as I leave.  Everyone says you are a pleasure to work with and everyone loves you.  You ran out of the building and then I had to chase Austin inside the building. 

 

You loved the farm too.  You ran around and acted like the big kids.  You loved going up the big slide and playing in the corn.  You were better in the train than Austin was.  You were trying to pick all the pumpkins up and wanted to take all of them home. 

You are starting to stick up for your self with Austin.  You are becoming even more independent but you still like your hugs.  You love to play with everything Austin is playing with.  You can count but do not know your colors.  You love to sing and you make up songs.  You get mad at the smaller kids when they will not talk back to you at daycare.  You are the prettiest little girl in the world!!

 

 

Both---

I love you guys so much.  I am so glad you are in daycare and around other kids your age.  You test my patience every day but also amaze me by how much I can love two little people.  You love your maw maw and pawpaw and are so happy every time you see them.  They care about you very much.      

Sept 28th

Today was mommy's first day work and your first day at day care
You both woke up at 540 happy and ready to go
Paw paw came over to do some sanding so you guys watched tv a little then ate a little
You took a bath I read a book and you were in bed by 745 then mommy fell asleep right after you
Austin
You got woken up and you were happy... Weird!
You freaked out when Memaw was dropping you off but you ended up having a good day
When I picked you up you told me you missed me
You wanted to play some more at home and you kept wanting to spray the hose

Megan
I was changing your diaper at 545 and you said I'm peeing... So in the bath you went! Silly girl
You cried just a little when Memaw dropped you off
They said you fit right in... I knew you would
Everyone was calling you my grown woman
You did not want to watch thomas the train

Sep 27th

Yesterday you were with mawmaw and I worked so I don't know much about your day
Today you woke up at mawmaws at 930 and you ate waffles. We came home and you played outside then we went to target and 5 guys. We went to the park and then we came home to watch thomas the train
Neither one of you wanted to eat dinner but you both loved your bath
I read a book and you went to bed peacefully
Austin
You were sad because the keyboard died
You wanted to take your shoes and your shirt off to play in the water
When megan got put on time out she wanted to lay down and I told her not to you said she was just confused
You helped megan take off her shoes and you said there you go little girl
You tried to show megan how to spray the water
You can shell peanuts by yourself
You liked your hot dog but wanted to share with megan so you had part of her grilled cheese
You also liked the fries mainly because they are the vehicle for your ketchup
You can kick the soccer ball while you are running
Megan
You held the shower curtain on the way home you thought it was pretty
You sang songs to daddy on the phone
You told me how you hit your lip on the table and you got ice to make it feel better
When we got home you were excited about sliding but then you didn't want to play after you got put on time out
You like everything to be neat and orderly... I wonder if you will be mad at me when you get older
Then you wanted to take your shoes off and play in the water too
You ate pretty good you liked the hot dog more
You are grumpy I think cause your lip hurts
You liked taking the fries out of the bag more than eating them
You climbed up the big slide all by yourself

Sept 25th

I went to upstairs to use the bathroom and you guys were already awake

You wanted to take a bath and you got out when I was getting out of the shower

We got dressed and then went to the doctor to pick up your blue cards

After we left the mall you both fell asleep right away





Austin

We saw a grasshopper at walmart and then one was on our car while we were driving

You cried because you wanted shots like megan because everyone was being nice to her

You were telling me all the green stuff while we were driving

You figured out how to turn a robot on all by yourself

You did not want to eat lunch just drink

You did not want to stay in the stroller

You finally decided you were going to good probably cause you were tired



Megan

You were good at the doctor and you only cried a little while you were getting your shots

You can drink in the car with a sports cap but you still get some on you

You were playing hide and go seek with the clothes.... Funny girl

You were so sweet and good at the mall and eating your lunch

Mawmaw asked you who was the prettiest girl in the world and you said megan and then you told austin you were pretty

Sep 24th

You guys played and kept your selves occupied while mommy took a nap.
this was your last night at pawpaw's before mommy starts work
I really think pawpaw has enjoyed spending time with you guys and taking care of you

Megan
You woke me up this morning... Austin usually does... I heard some noise and I said "Austin?" and then you said "He's sleepin"
You spilled your cereal all over the table
you liked fish sticks for lunch
the lady at the ice cream place thought you talked better than her 31/2 year old :-)
you like to play with the keyboard in the car

You were sad because you had to clean up a mess you made
Again a much better day:-)
you told me a story today in the van you kept saying and then and then and then and then i was proud of the imagination you have
you were good for pawpaw
you chased and played with a sweet little girl at the ice cream place I think you are going to be just fine at day care
you watched cars... again and ant bully

Sep 23rd

You woke me up an wanted to eat right away. I made sure I gave both of you big hugs and told both of you that I love you.
We had to go back to the doctor because the shot records I had were not enough for you to get blue cards... then when we went back I didn't have the right one either... so back on friday we will go

I let you guys watch some Thomas the Train when we got home
you were excited about ice cream at the doctor and this random guy said he was going to take yours if you were bad... you said he could have some too

Austin

you put together your first big boy puzzle... 24 pieces I think... I helped a little cause you don't really get how the pieces match. You understand the colors but not the shapes

You had fun talking to this little old man at the doctors. He was nice
Today seemed like a better day... I tried to show you extra attention and I think you liked it

Megan
When we were at the Social security office you were flirting with everyone... they thought you were sweet. Everyone thinks you are sweet
You say "Hi Thomas" When you see him on tv you keep saying it like he should say hi Megan
Your milk did not taste better with beans in it and your beans did not taste better with milk in them and the table def did not look better with milk on it...
You like to read Bark George and you were sad when I couldn't find it in the car
you like to look at books and try to remember what I said
you really wanted to go in your room tonight, but it's still locked, but we will go tomorrow and get the keys from Ace... we don't have anything else planned
